KinoVino together with eco-chef Tom Hunt bring you an evening of thought-provoking cinema and sustainable cuisine. Never more topical than today, Tom’s approach to cultivation, preparation and consumption of food is an inspiring lesson to us all.
Tom is an award-winning chef, writer and food waste campaigner. His Bristol restaurant Poco has won numerous awards including Best Ethical Restaurant at the Observer Food Monthly Awards. He has written for many newspapers and magazines and writes a weekly column for Feast magazine in the Saturday Guardian offering ingenious no-waste recipes.
With this event we will celebrate the launch of Tom’s second cookbook ‘Eat for Pleasure People and Planet’, which is a beautiful and insightful exploration of our eco system and how we can make dishes that not only nourish us but also our planet.
Our evening will start with a screening of a powerful documentary ‘In our Hands’, a love letter to sustainable British farming and its unsung heroes, with an introduction by the makers of the film. Following the screening, chef Tom Hunt will treat us to a seasonal feast of sustainable sourced local produce featuring dishes from his brand new cookbook.
As always, your evening will be accompanied by cocktails and wine curated specially for the occasion by our venue and drinks partner TT Liquor.
